Simple Hawaii Beach Double Page Layout

This is one of my earlier double page layouts and it's much more simple than my current style, but sometimes simple layouts really focus on the photos.
A pretty simple hand written title.
The color of the water makes me want to go back.I tried to line the middle photo with the top of the water.
 Pretty paper plumeria flower.

Welcome to Hawaii- Double Page Beach Layout

Hi Crafty Friends! I have another layout for you! I am going to start posting pictures from my Hawaii scrapbook. These are all pictures from college so you will soon see lots of beach themes, palm trees, and flowers. If you're scrapbooking summery photos, stay tuned. You may like my posts for the next while. :)
I loved the Doodlebug travel line and the awesome beach lines that they come out with. I used some blue paper with a white core and tore it to look like waves. I included a copy of my itinerary on this page so I'd remember where I had visited, but it would be really easy to place a couple of photos in the middle instead.
The sun die cut is from the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge. I used some Swiss Dots paper from Bazzil Basics to add extra dimension to the sand and used chalk for added shading.
I made printed the banner behind the airplane on my computer and cut the paper into a banner shape. The Hawaii title is from the Cricut Simply Sweet Cartridge.
I heart the glittery Doodlebug sealife creatures!
Do you have tons of eyelets that you never use anymore? I sure do! Add a fun element behind a picture by creating a little row of eyelets. It's a good way to add texture and an extra pop to a page.

Hope you enjoyed my post!

Sheenie

Project 4: Hawaiian Sea Turtle Doodlebug Layout

Today is the day! My Doodlebug Design Team application is due. Wish me luck! I stayed up late working on my final project, this double page layout. My mom and I went to Hawaii for vacation last year, but I'm still playing scrapbook catch up, so I hadn't touched these photos. I did however, purchase these Doodlebug Sealife stickers and papers awhile ago and decided to save them to scrapbook my amazing sea turtle photos. I knew these adorable Doodlebug designs were perfect for my absolute favorite photos. Last night my local photo developer asked me for permission to blow up a poster-size photo of the turtle and me to display in their shop. :) Here is a look at the "Tashina and the Turtle" layout:
Here is the first page. I love how the papers are so bright and cheery. The yellow mat is from the Doodlebug Welcome Home Collection:
Aren't those glittery sea animals adorable?! I raised them on pop dots:
I had been saving these tiny turtle Doodlebug boutique brads for these photos specifically:
Here is a look at the second page!
Shhh...here is a little secret. The only tags I have in my stash that matched my color scheme were from the Doodlebug Welcome Home Collection, but who places a couch in the middle of the ocean? I mounted a glittery octopus on white cards stock and...
Viola! Couch-at-sea problem solved!
I am IN LOVE with this baby turtle! My only hope is that Doodlebug comes out with another beach/Hawaiian line because I'm going to Hawaii again in two weeks for my birthday! This time with a group of five friends. Please give us more stickers and lovely papers! Maybe with little hula girls this time? :)
I hope you enjoyed my projects. They were so fun to make and applying for the Doodlebug Design Team has forced me to use some of the papers I had been saving! Awesome!

Tashina

Habitat for Humanity Double Page Layout

Happy Monday! Here is another fun layout for you! This is from an alternative spring break service and learning trip to Hawaii that I took part in during college. Here's a look at the entire layout. My favorite part is the adorable sun die cut from Doodlebug:
I placed the letters in a wavy format across the sky. I cut them from the Mickey Font Cartridge.
Aren't the construction people adorable? I added tiny buttons to their overalls from Lasting Impressions:
I added a gold brad to the house to look like a door knob:
Here is a close up of the second page. The grass was cut from the Plantin School Book Cartridge:
