Riding Indian Elephants: Double Page Layout

I have another double page layout to share with you! These were taken at the Pink Palace and the Amber Fort in Jaipur, India. I've been hard at work on these India photos from 2003. I'm making a small dent in my pictures, but I still have a HUGE box! After I finish, then I'll start Thailand! I've also been itching to scrap some of my current photos, so I actually broke down and decided to put some of my Paris scrapbooking supplies to use. So you'll see a layout with more current pictures this weekend. Stay tuned. :)

I can't even tell you how much I love this paper. Love. The colors are so vibrant and the elephants went perfectly with my theme! The paper is from the Creative Imaginations Marrakesh Collection- Bombay. I used the Fancy Frames Cricut Cartridge that Jinger Adams gave to me for this layout page:
The font is from the Cricut Elegant Cakes Cartridge and the journaling shape is from the Storybook Cartridge:
The gold elephant was cut from the Cricut Destinations Cartridge. I added the swirl shape from the Cricut Elegant Cakes Cartridge in my Gypsy and created a mirror image of it and welded the shapes together. This creates a shape so the elephant has an ear, but the whole swirl also looks like draping fabric:
I added some rhinestone bling to the elephants here:
Hope you enjoyed my new layout!

Jinger Adams Design Team Call

One of my favorite crafting celebrities, Jinger Adams is hosting a design team call and she will also be launching a shoe line! Ooh...I can't wait! She has such great style and I was even able to meet her in person! She was just as kind and lovely in real life as she is on television:
Here she is holding the layout I submitted that was shown on HSN during one of her tv segments:
She has such a bubbly personality and is very talented. I really enjoyed reading her columns in the Cricut Magazine. I am excited to see what new ventures she has that will impact the scrapbooking world!

I love to scrapbook my travels from around the world. I just returned from Paris and a cute boy sent me a package of Paris themed scrapbooking supplies in the mail! Swoon. (He also happens to speak French fluently). :) So of course I had to make a thank you card to send to him in the mail. I thought I would try my luck at Jinger's Design Team contest with this card submission. I think it would be amazing to work with her and to design with her products! What a dream!

The package of supplies that was waiting for me after my trip. I'm such a lucky girl!:

The background paper is from Teresa Collins:
The Eiffel Tower was cut from the Summer in Paris Cartridge:
I used the Storybook Cartridge for the mat:
Cute stamp from Hero Arts:
I ran my white cardstock through my special edition pink Cuttlebug that I learned Jinger designed. No wonder I liked it so much!
And no blog post about Paris would be complete without a picture of the Eiffel Tower. <3

Traveling the Globe: Double Page Layout

Another double page layout for you! Yay! I was able to fit 9 photos plus journaling on this page without it looking too crowded. It always feels great to get a bunch of photos scrapbooked and out of boxes. :) I love that I'm-so-productive feeling. It's like a high for me. Here is a look at the entire layout:
I love the camera and little rolls of film, because that is what I was using when I took these pictures. The cool fish is from the Cricut Pagoda cartridge. That cartridge has been great for scrapbooking my Asia photos. I love it. I wish Provo Craft would come up with a more updated travel cartridge.
Here is a look at page 2. The branch is from the Pagoda Cartridge and the photo mat is from the Story Book Cartridge. The journaling lines are from Stampin' Up!:
This was a fun branch to paper piece and I love the color:
Have a great day!

Sheenie

Project 2: You Brighten My Day Doodlebug Card

I have another Doodlebug design team submission for you this morning using the Doodlebug Create-A-Card and Tutti Frutti lines. Here is a view of the entire project:
Here's a close up of the card front. I just love the glittery strawberry and baby blue bird! I also thought the twine bow added a delicate touch:
Here is a view of the inside of the card! Everything sparkles in the sun with glitter. :)
I lined the inside of the envelope with that gorgeous strawberry print paper:
A view of the envelope seal:
I added a tiny mushroom sticker to the front of the envelope:
One last view of the project:
Have a wonderful weekend! I am praying for the families on the east coast with all of the scary weather you are experiencing.

Sheenie

The Lovely Scenes: Double Page Layout

I have another double page layout for you. Right now, I'm working on an album of college memories and I'm documenting my travels abroad. So most of my posts for the next little while will be internationally themed. Here is a look at the whole layout. I used older Doodlebug and Making Memories products:
I placed three photos in a collage formation directly on my Cricut mat and used the center point function to cut a circle around the photos:
So I didn't have the best camera as a college student and these pictures were taken eight years ago with a traditional film camera. A friend suggested that I scan the prints, alter them in Photoshop and reprint before scrapbooking. If did that I would never catch up! Plus I think photos taken in 2003 should reflect the year they were taken. :) And they're my memories, so that's what's important right?

I just adore these glittery flowers from Doodlebug. I added buttons to the center and then a rhinestone in the middle.
Here is a look at the second page. These photos were taken at Humayun's Tomb in India:
I love the added rhinestones to the date:

You're Fabulous! Bubble Bath Card

Here is a fun card for you. Perfect for a little note to a girlfriend! Inside it reads, "You're Fabulous!" I colored this little lady with acid free watercolor pencils and added diamond glaze and glitter to make sparkly bubbles. Ooh..
The background shapes were cut with the Cricut Storybook Cartridge. I used Cuttlebug folders to emboss the baby blue cardstock and buttons along the bottom. I added some Prima flowers with a white brad. The stamped girl in the tub and the background roses on the brown cardstock are from Stampin' Up!

Look Hoo Turned 2!

This project was created entirely using Cricut shapes. I made it for a contest Provo Craft was sponsoring and my little layout made it on national t.v. :) Even though I don't have kiddos of my own, it was fun doing a child theme for the birthday layout contest.
Here you can see a short clip of Jinger Adams showing the layout on HSN (I found this on Okieladybug's Scrap N' More.)

Sheenie
