Echo Park For the Record: Double Page India Layout

I promised that I would have multiple layouts this week! This is a new style for me. Normally, I tend to keep photos straight on my layout and everything tends to be neat and geometric. Collage style scrapbooking has come into vogue and so I figured I would try my hand at it.
 
The banner is made from chipboard accents from the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 line. I punched holes in the chipboard using my Crop-i-dile so that I could string some twine through. I've been using clear nail polish to seal the ends of the twine, but I know it isn't acid free. I saw on another blog how a woman tied a small knot at the end of the twine to keep it from raveling. Genius! Why didn't I think of that?
